Monty Python did a skit called ‘Novel Writing with Thomas Hardy,’ in which they projected the atmosphere of a sporting event on a day in the life of Thomas Hardy (author of Tess of the Dubervilles.’ Yes, I’m aware I probably spelled that wrong). That’s been my life for the past week and a half. I’m not saying it’s brilliant, but it IS a consistent, good bit of work every single day. And it’s fun, once I get past the bother of actually sitting down to do it. I know it’s not much– I manage 250 words, or about a page a day. Not much at all, in comparison to real writers. But I’m excited nontheless.
Here’s hoping that I didn’t just jinx myself.
