In a little less than a month, Tiptoe will be going to Children’s National for another open heart surgery.

We’re…anxious.

The last couple weeks have been really good for her; she seems a lot happier than before, and seems to be eating a little better.  That might be a function of the other kids being out of school and her having someone to play with (or annoy) almost 24×7.  She’s learned to enjoy the pool, too, and is fun to play with in the water.

Having this time of relative tranquility and ease is a blessing, considering the trials we know are coming down the pipe.
