I finished outlining the novel this morning on the way to work.  As of this moment, it looks to be about 38 chapters.  One thing that I’m a little concerned about– the denoument trends toward the sadder, darker side of triumph.  This is par for the course, for me– Blackberry Witch didn’t end on a particularly happy note, either.  I’m hoping, like BW, Lord of All Fools will strike the right chord and find a publisher even without a clarion triumph for the main characters.

Now on to the world-building, character sketches and so forth.  I’m going to need maps.  Anyone know of a good map drawing tool?
