PAGE 3 (seven panels)

Panel 1: Panel 1: ANGELA is sitting up in a hospital bed—she still has her jumpsuit on. There are therapeutic gloves on her hands. She is talking very animatedly to BENSON. BENSON is a good looking older man, with a collared shirt and tie on. The tie is undone a little bit. He is looking at her with concern. The room they are in has a window that looks out into space. There is a purpleish nebula outside of the window, and some starships cruising by.

1 ANGELA:
…TOLD RORY HE NEEDED REDUNDANT FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS.

2 BENSON:
OH.

Panel 2: BENSON is staring at her even more closely. His eyes are wide and bright. ANGELA doesn’t seem to notice the way he is looking at her.

1 ANGELA:
REDUNDANT, I SAID. I DON’T EVEN THINK HE KNOWS WHAT THAT MEANS.

Panel 3: BENSON is leaning forward, kissing ANGELA. His eyes are closed. Hers are wide open, and horrified.

Panel 4: BENSON has moved back from her—he’s a little embarrassed by his actions. ANGELA continues to stare at him, horrified.

1 BENSON:
DON'T LEAVE.

2 ANGELA:
BENSON, WHA--?

3 BENSON:
PLEASE, DON’T LEAVE. I EVEN SAID PLEASE, THIS TIME..

Panel 5: ANGELA is getting up from the bed, moving away in a hurry. She is stripping off the therapeutic gloves—her hands are covered in some sort of slime.

1 ANGELA:
I...UH...I...

2 BENSON:
I LOVE YOU, ANGELA LYTTON. DON’T LEAVE.

3 ANGELA:
I...UH...I...

4 BENSON:
I LOVE YOU. I KNOW YOU FEEL THE SAME. I CAN SEE IT IN YOUR EYES.

Panel 6: ANGELA looks at him with one eyebrow raised. It’s the most ridiculous thing she’s ever heard.

1 ANGELA:
THAT’S NOT LOVE. MY EYES ARE IRRITATED. FROM ALL THE SMOKE.
