2007 Year in Review– Writing

This is going to be short.

I finished a single short story– Out of the Deep Have I Howled Unto Thee.  I’ve exhausted all the pro-markets (one of them I exhausted twice!); I’m trying to decide if I want to shelve it or send it out to semi-pro magazines.

I did a major rewrite on my short story, Mouse and Elephant; it turned out to be major enough to make it not work as a short story.  I either need to trim out some plot elements, or make it a novel.

I sold Eviction Notice to the Intergalactic Medicine Show Anthology.

I wrote about 50000 words on the novel.  Oooh, I take that back– actually, around 55000.  Forgot to include the pages and pages of revisions.

I finished a children’s picture book, The Good Ship Couch; and a goodly number of Frivel and Schleck.

I sent out The Good Ship Couch, along with Sam Pew and the Blue Hollar Doo and Will You…? to…lessee…9 agents.  No bites.  Which bites.
