I’ve been working on a short story for a Halloween contest on the writerly website www.CodexWriters.com; I finished it up this morning.

Which makes me very happy.  Writing the novel just seems to go on for ages; it’s good to occasionally finish something just to show myself that it can be done.  Of course, in the last couple months, I’ve been neglecting my poor novel in favor of finishing (or at least fiddling with) short stories– it’s time to get back on the wagon, bear down, and finish the stupid thing.

And then rewrite it all!  Huzzah!
