Television: Fringe

I want that hour and a half of my life back.  So I can pick my toenails, or do something as similarly useful to the betterment of humanity, something more worthy than watching the pilot of this awful show.

Here’s the premise: 24, Lost, X-files, Heroes, and Numbers  are all spliced together by a sadistic, psychiatrist/neurosurgeon toddler.

It tries too hard to be everything to everybody.  It winds up being…silly.  Worse than silly, because it takes itself so seriously.  It doesn’t even have a cuddly, Japanese teleporting superhero to redeem it.  Sadly, says I.  Yes, even Heroes is better.  Those of you who remember my opinion about that show will understand the depth of that statement.
