Boneyard King update, New Scanner…

I finally finished chapter 10 of The Boneyard King. It’s been one of the hardest chapters to write, because it deals with a thirteen year old boy falling in love for the first time. It’s been YEARS since I was thirteen… and his situation is complicated because the person he’s falling in love with is incorporeal.

She is also an immensely powerful and (unknown to him) undead creature. It complicates things.

Onward to chapter 11! In which my secondary protagonist bites the hand that feeds him and blasphemes!

I bought a new scanner/printer/copier for the family that seems to work much better than my old one. After I did some writing last night, I sat down and drew some panels for the next War on Doug. I was pleased with the results, and even more pleased when I scanned the first panel in. Huzzah! I’m not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but this could be lots of fun. At least its something to do to give my mind a rest from the novel.

As for my other webcomic, Shipmates small logo I finished another four pages on it… I’ve got 32 pages of the first draft written, and am reformatting it to meet professional standards.

So. That’s the news, this Friday morning.
