I haven’t been really happy with the way the speech bubbles were coming out; in my meanderings online, however, I found a webcomic called Makeshift Miracle, that also offered tutorials on importing art into Photoshop and making it look nice.

Even WITH help, it took me a couple panels to get the technique right– starting with the panel where the Lich calls the Paladin, ‘Junior.’ I wasn’t able to get the areas connecting two speech bubbles right until the very end– I think I need to write up all the dialogue in one layer, all the speech bubbles in a seperate layer, with their connectors. I was doing each individual element on a seperate layer.
I leave it as is, raw, messy– because I’m lazy. And because, you know…it’s a metaphor. For life. ‘Cause life is messy sometimes and you can’t go back and change it, but you get better. And then you die.

Just like the paladin in this comic.
