Nanny State
The governess just rang;
Our spacemen have no Tang,
And Senator Jim has lost his cushy chair.
The bourgeoise are revolting
The proles have started molting
She wants permission to kick their derrieres.
Nanny State, watch us carefully;
Nanny State, guide us prayerfully.
Sing us songs, relax us;
Educate and tax us;
We know you’re always there
To help change our underwear.
And teach us what is right;
Calm us when we fight.
‘Cause Nanny loves us best
Even when we’re pests.
The Nanny State just called
Her cameras are all installed.
In every home and domicile
The time has come to stand now–
She reveals that she’s a man now,
But still will keep us clear of being vile.
Big Brother, help us kindly
Big Brother, reward us finely
Feed us food, regress us;
We need you just to bless us.
You’ll always be around
As steady as the ground,
To teach us how to think
In lovely shades of pink.
Big Brother, you’re our mother,
And we don’t want another.
